I was at BarCampMumbai2 today sporting the SocialSync T-shirt and I must say it rocked.

I would like to make a special mention of ‘everyone who spared a few minutes’ to know more about SocialSync and listen to it attentively.

Some takeaways from BarCampMumbai2:

• Everyone unanimously agreed that grass-root level organizations promoting social causes need to leverage the Internet (technology in general) to reach a wider audience.
• SocialSync would hit the right chord with individuals I spoke to. Which basically means that the ones I met were keen to know more about the initiative and were socially aware.
• Lots of feedback and interesting ideas popped up during the discussions.

It was also nice to meet up with so many people (Mahesh Murthy, Ankur Gupta, Kartik, Namitha,…) after so long. Met quite a few other interesting people too.

The second edition of BarCampMumbai is being organized tomorrow at IIT Bombay. BarCampMumbai2 received an overwhelming response from Mumbaikars. I look to be the last one to register on the wiki, close to number 60 on the wiki. We have some interesting talks lined up for the day. Looking forward to meet Mahesh Murthy. Feels like his talk would be the highlight of the event.

I would be present at the BarCampMumbai2 to meet interesting souls, discuss and brainstorm about SocialSync. Finally, it would be you who would steer the direction SocialSync takes. You can catch me wearing the SocialSync T-shirt.

Update: We have changed the logo for SocialSync. Which reminds me that we can get some new T-shirts printed.

This is the customary “Hello world!” post. Lets keep this short.

We are excited to take our first few steps. Our enthusiasm is comparable to that of a child who is just ready to take on this world one step at a time.

We would use this space to write down our experiences as we go ahead.
